Sharon Jones was born Sheron Lafaye Jones in Augusta, Georgia on May 4th 1956. Her mother moved to Brooklyn soon thereafter, however Jones was sent down south for a few months every year to stay with her family. As a child, she and her brothers would imitate the songs and dances of James Brown, who shared their hometown. Like many rhythm and blues entertainers, she began performing in church at a very young age where her voice would find a lifelong home and inspiration. As a teenager in the early nineteen seventies, she began singing outside of the church in talent shows and with local funk groups. Later she would make her living with a combination of sporadic session work as a mostly anonymous voice on various dance records (sometimes credited as Lafaye Jones), singing with wedding bands, and a handful of day jobs which included stints as both a prison guard at New York’s notorious Riker’s Island, and an armored car guard for Wells Fargo Bank. In 1996 she was called in to sing back-up at a Desco Records studio session for 70’s soul legend Lee Fields.

Como podria olvidame de Grover Wasington Junior, y el tema que "Just the two of us" Green House, principio de lo 80¨Bacardi --Cola y toda una noche por delante...

Especialmente para el P.Cristian a quien me propuesto aficionar a los años 70 y 80. Este maravilloso tema es de los Blue Notes que con Harold Melvin a la cabeza fueron uno de los proncipales grupos del llamado Philadelfia Sound.

Quoniam. Aria de bajo, con trompa

“Porque sólo tú eres Santo, sólo tú Señor, sólo tú Altísimo Jesucristo”, canta el solista en esa aria. La instrumentación resulta íntimamente obscura. Un trío instrumental de análogos “colores”: Corno de caccia, 2 fagotes y continuo. La voz, el Bajo, no es de un timbre muy luminoso, precisamente, y su efecto, el conjunto, es de una inaudita belleza. El fragmento está escrito en compás ternario (3/4), refiriéndose a Jesucristo-Dios. Dios, Uno y Trino, que tiene la total UNICIDAD de Absolutez, de Incondicional, de Indomesticable, de Inconmensurable, y de Incalculable: Único Santo y Señor. Reconocimiento y adoración que solamente a El se le debe tributar: Sólo El es Absoluto. El Evangelio de san Lucas 4,1-13 narra las tentaciones de Cristo. La respuesta de Cristo es contundente y categórica; leamos un fragmento de las Tentaciones de Cristo en el desierto: “Después, llevándole a lo alto, el diablo le mostró en un instante todos los reinos del mundo, y le dijo: -Te daré el poder y la gloria de todo eso, porque a mí me lo han dado y yo lo doy a quien quiero. Si tú te arrodillas delante de mí, todo será tuyo. Jesús le contestó: -Está escrito: “Al Señor tu Dios adorarás y a él solo darás culto”.

Otro grupo de los que marcó mi juventud fue la ELO,Electric Light Orchestra.Un exitoso grupo de rock de Birmingham, Inglaterra de la época de los 70's y los 80's.

Banda formada en 1971 por Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne y Bev Bevan, en prinicipio era un proyecto paralelo a The Move, banda integrada por los mismos miembros, más tarde The Move se disolvería y el genio de Roy Wood tras el debut de E.L.O. abandonaría el grupo quedando Lynne de líder. Su primer y extravagante album intentó fusionar instrumentos clásicos, ejecutados de manera muy poco ortodoxa, con el pop y el rock dando un insólito resultado.

El Concierto para piano y orquesta nº 1 en Do mayor Opus 15 de Ludwig van Beethoven fue comenzado en 1796, y fue terminado el año siguiente. El estreno fue en Praga en 1798, con el mismo compositor al piano.
